My cousin Kaycee Feild has been on a Wrangler USO tour of Military Bases. They happened to stop where my brother Steven is stationed in Kuwait. Here's a picture of the two together.

Return of the Ants

Sunday morning I made 12 muffins. Andrea (our next door neighbor) received 4, Kelli ate 3, I ate 3 and the ants tried to eat 2. Not to mention the ants also made a run on our recycling and my honey yesterday morning too. Greedy ants.

P.S. I can't think of muffins any more without thinking of Jenna from 30 Rock's hit single, "muffin top."

Afraid of Everyone

I've never been a big fan of "The National." The lead's singer voice is an acquired taste that I haven't bothered to get. However, when I heard the first single off their new album, "High Violet," I was floored. After several listens of "Afraid of Everyone," I decided to try the album and you know? Not bad. Not bad at all.

Oh, and that's Sufjan Stevens providing back-up vocals.

Mother?

For whatever reason, friends and co-workers keep bringing up "Mother's" Restaurant in New Orleans. After the 4th time in a week that the conversation drifted to Mother's, and I was told yet again I needed to eat there (I have actually), I wondered if there was a sign on my forehead that said "Mothers." I didn't see the sign in the mirror, but you never know.

A-Team

Last night, during the previews for "Iron Man 2," was the A-Team trailer.  Now, I don’t remember getting into the "A-Team" when I was a kid, and would tell you I never watched it....except for the fact that I totally remember all the characters and their traits after watching the trailer. 

Anyway, while watching the preview, I wondered again how Liam Neeson ended up in the movie and......that I probably will at one point see this film.  And maybe even in the theater.

No AC?

For the second time in a month, the temperatures in the DC area have crept above 90 degrees. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the AC at our apartment doesn't get turned on until May 10. Needless to say, the last three days have been miserable, but at least we have popsicles.
